Sarah Hairgrove, an award-winning artist, is a native of south central
Texas who works primarily in watercolors. After graduating from Baylor
University and Southwest Texas State University, Sarah taught in the San
Antonio public schools for eleven years. In 1976, however, she chose to
devote full time to her art. While continuing her art education at San
Antonio College and Our Lady of the Lake University, she completed workshops
and studies with several noted artists. Sarah's favorite subjects include
scenes of San Antonio and south Texas, animal studies (especially cats),
and florals.
Her paintings may be viewed at the River Art Group Gallery and Galleria
II in San Antonio's historic La Villita.
