I grew up as an Air Force brat, lived all over the United States,
as well as Asia and Europe. Because of that, I love to travel
and see new places.
I always loved drawing and painting, but went to school and
became a teacher of the deaf. After teaching for about 25 years,
I retired and started to pursue some art classes. I signed up
for a pastel painting class and was hooked! I have since found
my passion!
My love for animals comes through in many of my paintings.
I tend to paint more pets and animals, but am also enjoying
landscapes and still lifes. I love the brilliant color of pastels!
Painting has given me a new visual awareness....I look at
things differently now ..seeing the beauty, light and texture
all around me.
